Sunday School

We seek to teach the Word of God in such a way that its message can be applied to an individual's life, leading that person to greater maturity in Christ. Our children meet for teaching and worship in our Sunday School at the same time that the adults are worshipping and being taught in the sanctuary.

At Harvest, we believe that kids, more often than parents, "get" a relationship with Christ. They are open, honest and brave with their faith. We all stand to learn from our children concerning loving our Father. Our Sunday school goal is to support and foster that initial and original love of God that our children exhibit.

To do that, we concentrate on three main areas:

1) Salvation - We put the salvation message before the children often, giving them an opportunity to accept Jesus Christ. A lifetime of serving Christ often begins with a commitment made in Sunday School.

2) Scripture - We memorize verses and use scripture songs to store up scripture in our children's hearts. There is no substitute for knowledge of the Bible.

3) Reverence and Respect - We instill in our children a reverence for the Bible as the Word of God, and respect for all people.
